I think at some point in the future, scientists are going to discover that dust has consciousness and is sentient. It doesn't just aimlessly gather in certain corners of your rooms due to its layout and airflow. It has a reason, a purpose.

They will find that it's aware of your disgust for it and deliberately chooses hard-to-reach corners where it wouldn't be harmed for self-preservation reasons.

That dust can have friends and form long-term relationships. That it feels pain when you relocate it or disturb their community. That they have a constitution and fundamental rights.

That they inherited the whole universe long before any other species entered the mix, and we should be thankful they continue to share their space with us.

Some see this as my excuse to skip cleaning my room. They have no clue what's going on here.
